We work with several cancer charities and groups to help raise awareness and funding.   You can find out more here or contact us to discuss further.
Can I write an article for your page?

We welcome people to write about their cancer experiences.

We prefer to publish positive articles that we believe either benefit people with cancer or are informative to people who do not have cancer.

You can submit posts about your personal experiences as follows:-

By letting people understand your cancer journey you could be helping cancer patients, their friends and loved ones by providing information and support.

About Cancer Care Parcel

Who are you and how did you start?
After Dr Shara Cohen (our founder) was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 she found there was very little time to just relax, take it all in and give herself ‘me’ time.

With all the appointments, liaising with work, telling the people who needed to be told…… there was little time to digest what was happening, research the practicalities or to just relax. There were also a few friends who found the whole situation very awkward, they avoided her as they did not know how to react or what to say. 

So she set up The Cancer Care Parcel, to enable children and adults with cancer to take some of the worries away and bring some calm back into their lives. 

We are a very small group of individuals who care about the cancer community. Our advisory board consists of past cancer patients and loved-ones of cancer patients.  

We also liaise with and those receiving our presents for their feedback and suggestions.

What does cancer care parcel do?
Cancer Care Parcel started as a simple gift company to help those with Cancer and has grown to support all those affected by cancer.

We partner with charities around the world helping them fundraise and raise awareness. We also provide gift box donations and financial support. In addition, we drive awareness campaigns and acting on the advice of our supporters, fill gaps that are needed in the International Cancer Community.

And to support our work we sell items for anyone touched by cancer.
How do you use the money from the items you sale?

We all have to live and eat. So we do use income from our sales to pay staff and for our running expenses. But we use profit to serve the cancer community.

Cancer Care Parcel 

  • Partners with cancer charities helping them fundraise and raise awareness. 
  • Provide gift box donations and financial support. 
  • Drive awareness campaigns.
  • Fill gaps that are needed in the Cancer Community.

Please note that we currently do not support individual requests for financial support.

Can I make a donation to help with what you do?
Please be aware that we are a registered limited company and we do make a profit. However, our profit is used to support the cancer community and many people donate funds to us so that we can provide more gift packages to those who need them.  You can see our Go Fund Me campaign here.

What exactly do you sell?

We sell products for anyone touched by cancer because that is where our expertise is.  We do not sell items for other illnesses, although you are welcome to buy for any reason.

If you know someone with cancer

We provide the opportunity to buy friends, colleagues, and loved ones gifts they need.  Thoughtful, appropriate and useful gifts, created by people who have had experience with cancer.

How do you decide what goes in a gift hamper?
All our gifts are thoughtfully put together.  We liaise with our advisory board, which consists of cancer patients and survivors and those receiving our parcels for their feedback and suggestions.

We carefully construct each box so that you can feel secure that your gift will be welcome.

A STRICT POLICY FOR PARCEL CONTENTS IS ALWAYS UPHELD.

We never have any of the following items in a box

*Religious content
*Shampoo or other hair products
*Food, in general (although we may include natural sweeteners, food which helps with nausea or items which help with dry mouth or bad mouth taste)
*Anything that makes claims to cure or prevent cancer
*Anything mentally or physically challenging
Are the gifts you sell created by you?
Most, but not all gifts are created and sold exclusively by us.
We sell via this website, Etsy and  Amazon.

Purchasing

What payments do you accept?
We accept Visa (credit or debit), Mastercard (credit or debit), American Express and Paypal.

Payment is via our secure server.
Can I change the delivery address?
We understand that you want to get your gift delivered as soon as possible, so we dispatch as quickly as we can.  

Care packages could be sent on the same day as your order and other products are created when an order arrives.

So, please call or email us immediately if you have any changes.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes, you can!

Once you enter the shopping cart you will be asked to compose an optional gift note which we will add to the item.
I am unhappy with my purchase, what shall I do?
We guarantee the person receiving your gift will be delighted.  If they are not, we will give you a full refund. 

Just contact us and let us know why you are not happy.

Shipping

Where do you ship to?
We currently deliver everywhere except for the EU.  We are working hard on this and hope to have some news on this soon.
What is the shipping cost of your gifts?
Shipping costs vary depending on the item purchased and country of delivery. It is best to check this when you add your items to the basket.

We keep our shipping costs as low as possible, whilst trying to maintain a quick and efficient delivery.
How soon do you dispatch orders?
CARE PARCELS

We endeavor to dispatch all paid orders that are placed before 2pm (GMT) on the same day, excluding weekends and bank holidays, however, this is not 100% guaranteed.

NON CARE PARCEL GIFTS
Most of the non care parcel gifts are printed as we receive each order. Dispatch times vary depending on the item. Dispatch and delivery times are given at check-out.

We currently do not offer weekend or national holiday delivery.  

Delivery

What is the delivery time?
Estimated delivery times vary according to the item purchased and country of delivery.

We do endeavor to get your item delivered as quickly and efficiently as possible.  

Expected delivery times are given at check out. 

Can I send a gift to a patient in a hospital or hospice?
We strongly advise against sending gifts to hospitals as these can get lost.

Hospices are easier to send to, but we would recommend asking them first and letting them know to expect a package.
Are gifts sensitively delivered.
We understand that a cancer diagnosis is very personal. Everyone's response is unique and people's willingness to share their diagnosis varies.  There is no right or wrong way to behave with cancer and we have taken this into consideration with our packaging.

All CARE PARCELS arrive in a non-branded box. The box is an eco-friendly gift box that has words

Someone Thinking Of You Sent You This Gift.

There is NO mention of cancer (apart from a small Cancer Care Parcel logo) on the gift box.

ALL PRINTED PRODUCTS are sent in plain packaging with the packing label on the outside.

On the package label it does state that the product is from Cancer Care Parcel, plus the words

Someone Thinking Of You Sent You This Gift.

Prices are never sent with the gifts.
