Nadya grew up as an orphan in St. Petersburg Russia, along with her twin sister Vera. They grew up as best friends until they found out they were sisters. They then both moved to the US and lived great lives until one day Vera was diagnosed with stage 4, colon cancer at only 25 years old. Vera passed away at 26 years in December 29th, 2015.
Nadya continues to share her unique and powerful story to be a young advocate for others and that because Colon Cancer is increasing in young people, she wants people to be aware. It can be preventable, treated and cured and anyone young or older can get it. "By sharing stories like mine can hopefully help many others" - Nadya
