Brain Research UK
INSPIRING PROGRESS, TOGETHER
Description
We are the UK's leading dedicated funder of neurological research. We fund the best science to achieve the greatest impact for people affected by neurological conditions, to help them live better, longer.
The Brain Research Trust was established in 1971 to raise funds to support research at London's Institute of Neurology. In 2017 we broadened our remit and re-launched as Brain Research UK, enabling us to fund research UK-wide.
Since 1971, thanks to the incredible generosity of many thousands of supporters, we have invested funds of more than £58 million in vital neurological research. Together we are helping to advance knowledge and help those affected by neurological conditions live better, longer.
Since 2016 we have focused our research funding on three priority areas where we have identified a particular disparity between high levels of patient need and low levels of research funding:Â brain tumours, brain and spinal cord injury, and headache and facial pain.
