A Crisis in Cancer Support: Why We Need Your Help

Cancer Care Parcel was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to provide comfort, support, and reliable resources to people affected by cancer. Over the years, we have helped thousands of patients, caregivers, and families by offering free cancer care packages, webinars, directories, and fact-checked information.

But now, we face unprecedented financial challenges that are threatening our ability to continue.

The Impact of Brexit on Cancer Support

For years, we were able to sustain our work through global sales of our care packages. However, Brexit has dramatically changed the landscape for UK businesses like ours.

  • Loss of European Markets – Before Brexit, we sold care packages to customers all across Europe. Now, increased shipping costs, import/export fees, and complex regulations have made it nearly impossible to continue selling to European customers.
  • Restricted Access to Critical Suppliers – Many of the items we include in our cancer care packages were sourced from European suppliers. With new trade barriers in place, our costs have risen significantly.

These changes have cut off a major source of income, making it difficult to fund our free services and care packages.

Trump-Era Sanctions and the Loss of US Sales

Adding to the problem, US sanctions have made it increasingly difficult to reach American customers.

  • Restricted Trade – UK-based businesses like ours are facing trade barriers imposed during the Trump administration, which have not been fully reversed.
  • Shipping Costs & Regulations – Increased customs restrictions and high shipping costs have made it unfeasible to continue selling care packages to US customers.

These political and economic shifts have had a devastating impact on our ability to fund Cancer Care Parcel through sales alone. We need donations now to continue our mission.

What We Do: How Your Donations Help Cancer Patients

Despite these setbacks, our commitment to supporting people with cancer has never wavered. Every donation we receive helps us provide practical, meaningful support to cancer patients, caregivers, and families.

Providing Free Cancer Care Packages

A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming and isolating. Our carefully curated cancer care packages provide comfort and relief with items like:

  • Anti-nausea wristbands to ease chemotherapy side effects
  • Cozy socks, eye masks, and water bottles for hospital stays
  • Gentle skincare products for sensitive post-treatment skin

Right now, we have a backlog of requests for free care packages. Your donation can help us meet this urgent need.

Running Free Cancer Webinars and Online Workshops

Education is key to empowerment, which is why we host free online webinars and workshops to support patients and caregivers. Topics include:

  • Managing side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy
  • Navigating cancer treatment options
  • Coping with mental health challenges during cancer

Your support allows us to keep these webinars free and accessible to those who need them.

Maintaining a Global Cancer Directory

Finding trustworthy, up-to-date cancer resources can be difficult. Our Global Cancer Directory connects people with:

  • Free support services
  • Financial aid programs
  • Mental health resources

Donations help us update and expand this directory, ensuring that no one has to search alone for the help they need.

Offering a Comprehensive Freebies Directory

We believe that cost should never be a barrier to support. That’s why we maintain a Freebies Directory, listing products, services, and support groups available at no cost for cancer patients and caregivers.

Every donation helps us maintain and improve this valuable resource.

Producing Trusted Cancer Information and Guides

Cancer Care Parcel is committed to providing fact-checked, science-backed information to help people understand their diagnosis and treatment options. Our guides cover:

  • Cancer symptoms and early detection
  • Treatment options and side effects
  • Emotional and mental health support

We do not allow misinformation. Every article is verified by experts and reputable health organizations.

We Are Not a Charity, But We Reinvest Every Penny into Cancer Support

Unlike traditional charities, we are a limited company. However, our mission remains entirely focused on supporting cancer patients.

  • All profit is reinvested into the company to further our mission of providing and signposting readers to reliable and compassionate support.
  • Our founder, Dr. Shara Cohen, personally funds the company and takes no dividends.

Cancer Care Parcel was built by a scientist who has experienced cancer firsthand. This is not just a business—it is a lifeline for people in need.

Why We Need Your Help Now

The combination of Brexit and US trade restrictions has put us in a precarious financial position. Despite our best efforts, we can no longer rely on sales alone to sustain our work.

Without donations, we risk scaling back or shutting down the very services that cancer patients depend on.

How You Can Help

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real impact.

  • £10 – Helps us maintain our online resources.
  • £35 – Supports the cancer directory and webinar database.
  • £80 – Contributes to sending free cancer care packages.
  • £250 – Funds the creation of new cancer support resources.

The Time to Act is Now

Cancer doesn’t wait, and neither can we. The patients, caregivers, and families who rely on our services need our help today—and we need yours to continue.

Please donate, sponsor, or share this message. Together, we can ensure that no one faces cancer alone
