In mid March I was in bed with Corona Virus and self-isolating. For symptom relief and comfort, I started to use many of the items in my Cancer Gift Parcels. It occurred to me that we have stock of appropriate items such as hand sanitizer and tissues that people who are self-isolating (like I was) need and cannot access. So I created a Covid-19 Care Parcel for people who need these items.
These survival kit packages are NOT FOR PROFIT and all items in the packes are donated by cancer care parcel.
Hopefully we can all make a small difference to this big problem.

The Covid-19 Care Packages were provided, at no profit, to people in isolation with the coronavirus who could not access the products, support, or services they needed.
These care packs were originally supplied by a group of individuals and businesses who wanted to do what they could to help during the coronavirus pandemic.
In August 2021, after donating many of these care parcels worldwide, the care pack initiative was fully absorbed by Cancer Care Parcel. From that point, Cancer Care Parcel handled all the demand, supply, and distribution of the Covid-19 Care Parcels, continuing to provide them at no profit.
We are very grateful to all those who donated products, expertise and time to this initiative. My sympathies are with all those who suffered from COVID-19 infection and those who lost friends and loved ones. I also know that many have lost their jobs or their jobs have changed dramatically. I fall into all of these categories and whilst we all experience loss, pain, and change differently, I do know that these significant changes in our lives will shape and change us long into the future. Everyone has been affected to some degree by this pandemic and as the world slowly comes out of lockdown I know that the 'new normal' will be a different normal and just hope that it will be in some ways better, as we learn to adapt and evolve.

In 2024, we stopped supplying these care packages. However, the impact of the pandemic continues to resonate with us all, and we remain hopeful that as we evolve and adapt, the 'new normal' will offer positive opportunities for growth and change.
