Cancer Care Parcel has appointed a fixed-term Non-Executive Advisory Board for the period January 2026 to December 2026 to support a defined phase of strategic transition and repositioning.

The Non-Executive Directors bring senior experience across finance, governance, scaling, operations, regulated care, technology, risk, branding, and programme delivery. Their role is advisory, providing independent challenge, commercial discipline, and strategic guidance as the organisation prepares for its next stage of growth and international licensing.

Richard Webb
Former Managing Director and Head of Customised Portfolio Solutions EMEA

Richard Webb was a senior financial services executive with deep experience in investment strategy, portfolio solutions, and institutional governance. He brings a rigorous commercial and risk-aware perspective, supporting Cancer Care Parcel with financial oversight, long-term sustainability thinking, and investor-grade decision-making.

Carl Cecil
Director of Operations, Reach Food Group

Carl Cecil is a senior operations and strategy leader with more than 15 years of board-level experience. As a founding senior management team member at Reach Food Group, he helped scale the business from start-up to UK market leader. With an Executive MBA in Strategy and Finance and ongoing postgraduate study in sustainable business, Carl brings deep expertise in operational execution, financial oversight, and governance during periods of rapid change and uncertainty.

Amit Fridman brings over 20 years of experience in people management, business consulting, and operational scaling across the QSR, catering, supermarket, bakery, and café sectors. He has a strong track record of supporting start-ups and growing businesses through expansion, franchising, and operational maturity. As a CQC Nominated Individual, he brings deep expertise in quality assurance, compliance, safeguarding, and regulatory accountability. Jay supports Cancer Care Parcel with governance insight drawn from highly regulated care environments, advising on standards, risk management, and operational integrity as the organisation scales its support model.

Dr Paul M Smith
Councillor, Management and ICT Consultant

Dr Paul M Smith brings extensive experience across governance, public service, information security, risk management, and organisational resilience. His background spans board advisory roles, consultancy, digital assurance, and mental health counselling. During his term, Paul supports Cancer Care Parcel with governance standards, risk oversight, digital assurance, and ethical decision-making.

• Charity Liaison Volunteers – Contact and manage relationships with small charities, offering them opportunities for visibility and collaboration

• Partnerships & Sponsorship Leads – Secure sponsorships and long-term collaborations that align with CCP’s mission

• Ambassadors – Represent Cancer Care Parcel in their regions, raising awareness and promoting support

• Care Package Follow-Up Volunteers – Call recipients of free care packages to confirm delivery details and ensure the support is still welcomed

• Facebook Community Moderators – Nurture safe, supportive spaces in CCP’s Facebook groups, answer questions, and guide discussions

Responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining the quality of articles and informational content.

• Editors – Oversee the quality and consistency of written content

• Staff Writers – Create original articles and informative blog posts

• Medical Writers / Contributors – Provide medically-reviewed content where applicable

• Researchers – Support article development with verified data and insights

Oversees the planning and execution of events, ensuring every detail runs smoothly from start to finish, including liaising with speakers, moderation and post-event production.

Secures donated goods and ensures care packages are delivered with care and precision.

Ensures vital information, free support tools, and global cancer resources are accurate, accessible, and up to date.

• Freebies Coordinators – Source, review, and update listings of free products and services for people affected by cancer

• Directory Managers – Maintain and expand the International Cancer Directory, ensuring accurate listings of support organisations worldwide

• Content Validators – Cross-check entries for accuracy and relevance across both the directory and freebies platforms
