Following her
breast cancer diagnosis in 2013, Shara recognised the pressing need for self-care and introspection amid the chaos of medical appointments and emotional strain.
Shara initiated Cancer Care Parcel with the aim of infusing a sense of peace into the lives of those grappling with cancer and its treatments. Leveraging her firsthand understanding of the challenges people encounter during cancer treatment, she leads a dedicated team in curating parcels tailored to meet diverse needs.
In 2024, in recognition of her commitment Cancer Patients and their families, plus her other work Shara received the British Empire Medal in the New Years Honours List.
