1. Introduction

1.1 Purpose of this Document

This Governance and Operating Framework sets out the organisational structure, governance standards, operating principles and decision-making processes of Cancer Care Parcel Ltd. This document also serves as the official governance policy for use in funding applications, grant compliance, partnership agreements, investor due diligence and operational oversight.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns immediately
  • Avoid giving clinical or medical advice unless professionally qualified and authorised

14.4 Confidentiality

Volunteers may have access to sensitive information. They must not:

  • Share private beneficiary stories without consent
  • Disclose internal organisational information
  • Use organisational contacts for personal or commercial gain

14.5 Conflicts of Interest

Volunteers must disclose any personal or business involvement that could conflict with their volunteer role.

14.6 Removal or Suspension

17. Dissolution Clause (Asset Lock)

In the event that Cancer Care Parcel Ltd is dissolved or ceases trading, any remaining assets after the settlement of all liabilities shall be transferred to another social purpose organisation, non-profit or charity with similar aims supporting people affected by cancer or serious illness. No assets shall be distributed for private gain.

This clause protects the social purpose of Cancer Care Parcel while still allowing the company to operate as a UK Limited Company and engage in investment or ownership transfer.

Volunteer Status

Volunteers are not employees and do not enter an employment contract. There is no obligation for Cancer Care Parcel to provide work or for a volunteer to accept tasks. Reasonable expenses may be reimbursed if agreed in advance.
