Cancer Care Parcel together with Mums in Science co-hosted an event about on-time efficiency and holistic productivity with Claudia Romero, a time efficiency and holistic productivity expert and consultant.

Claudia is a mother of 3 boys, with one child with disabilities and 1 child with ASD, owner of multiple businesses and currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer. She has had her fair share of challenges yet understands the importance of balance.

In her masterclass, Claudia shared her proven and easy-to-follow methods and non-traditional productivity approach. She helped us to understand how to optimize our time, reduce stress levels and overwhelm, and achieve the results we want in both our work and personal lives.

Here are some of the key takeaways from the event:

  • It's important to prioritize your physical and mental health. This means getting enough rest, eating a healthy diet, and exercising regularly. It also means finding healthy ways to manage stress, such as meditation, yoga, or spending time in nature.
  • Don't be afraid to ask for help. There are many resources available to support people who are facing challenges, including cancer. Talk to your doctor, social worker, or other healthcare team members about what resources are available in your community.
  • It's okay to make changes to your work life. If you need to take a leave of absence or reduce your hours, don't feel guilty. Your health is the most important thing.
  • Don't give up on your dreams. Even with a cancer diagnosis, it is still possible to achieve your goals. Talk to your doctor about what activities are safe for you, and don't be afraid to adapt your plans as needed.

If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer, please watch our event video for more inspiration and advice. Together, we can show the world that it is possible to thrive and achieve more of life, even when facing challenges.

In addition to the above, here are some additional tips for thriving and achieving more of life even when crossing rough times:

  • Focus on the present moment. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by the future or to dwell on the past, but neither of those things will help you to move forward. Try to focus on the present moment and what you can do today to make progress towards your goals.
  • Set realistic goals. Don't try to do too much at once. Set small, achievable goals for yourself and celebrate your successes along the way.
  • Be kind to yourself. It's important to be patient and understanding with yourself during difficult times. Remember that you are doing the best you can.
  • Find support from others. Talk to your friends, family, therapist, or anyone else who can offer you support. Knowing that you are not alone can make a big difference.

Remember, you are strong and capable. You can overcome any challenge that comes your way.
