With a passion to support a charitable cause so close to the hearts of its employees, Extended Stay America partnered with the American Cancer Society to create the Hotel Keys of Hope℠ program, which helps patients and their families overcome the financial stress of traveling for treatment.

Since 2013, Extended Stay America has donated over 150,000 free and deeply discounted hotel rooms, helping over 20,000 people get access to cancer treatment away from home, saving them over $10 million in lodging costs.

“The Hotel Keys of Hope℠ program literally saved my life”, said a cancer patient and hotel guest. “After six months, I was so tired of living out of my car, staying at friends' houses and asking for favors while in cancer treatment five days a week. I was at my wit's end. I prayed, dear God, please provide me somewhere to stay, I can’t do this any longer. So when I learned about Extended Stay America’s lodging program in partnership with the American Cancer Society, I knew my prayers were answered.”
