Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma – our ultimate goal is to find a cure.
Patients come first in everything we do, and we are dedicated to ensuring that myeloma patients live longer and with the best possible quality of life.
We are committed to:
- Being collaborative and results driven with a focus on investing in patient centred research
- Improving standards of treatment and care through education and raising awareness
- Working with industry and decision-makers to ensure that patients get access to the right treatment at the right time
- Providing a range of information and support services to patients, family and friends to help them deal with everything a myeloma diagnosis brings
We receive no Government funding and rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising. In short, we couldn’t do what we do without your support.
What we do
Every year 5,500 new cases of myeloma are diagnosed in the UK – that’s 15 every day.
Our ultimate goal is to find a cure for myeloma, but until that time we will continue to invest in improving standards of treatment and care through research, education and awareness raising.
We direct investment into strategic research that offers the best chance of significantly improving outcomes for myeloma patients, and fund research from the laboratory bed to the patient’s bedside.
